Chennai Port sets new record in container handling

Chennai Port has achieved another milestone by handling 3,22,201 TEUs till March 4, surpassing its record of 3,21,960 TEUs handled during 1999-2000. The number of TEUs handled in the corresponding period last year was 2,95,374, thus registering an increase of 9.08 per cent, informs an official press release.
