The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries plans to establish an online shipping exchange by 2003 as part of its efforts to sharpen the industry's international competitiveness, officials said yesterday.

It's hoped the marine transportation portal will end Korean ship owners' reliance on foreign companies, which hold a controlling 60 percent or more ......
