RICHARD'S BAY -- Oil booms were used yesterday to prevent the coastal area near St Lucia in KwaZulu/Natal from being polluted with oil leaking out of the stricken Italian ship, the Jolly Rubino.
The vessel was abandoned last Tuesday night after an engine caught fire, KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife said.
