The state Assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution by Alan Lowenthal, D-Long Beach, urging the federal government to stay out of waterfront labor negotiations. The resolution, similar to ones passed by the cities of Long Beach and Los Angeles, asks that the Bush administration not unduly influence labor negotiations at West Coast ports.
