Bhuj, September 8: Facing stiff competition from neighbouring state-of-the-art ports in the State, particularly Adani port at Mundra, Kandla port authorities have opened their newly-constructed eleventh dry cargo berth to traffic without waiting for its formal inauguration.

The new jetty, constructed at a cost of Rs 38 crore to handle additional cargo of 7.5 lakh tonnes of cargo, was found to be busy with traffic during a visit. So were other ten dry cargo jetties in the same line behind it ......
