Asian shipping lines lead latest import boom for port

The Port of Tacoma continued dramatic expansion of its international shipping in May, with Taiwanese and Korean shipping lines leading the pack.

Evergreen America Inc., whose Italian subsidiary, Lloyd Triestino, holds a prominent position in trade with mainland China, increased the number of containers through its Tacoma facility by 75 percent in the first five months this year.

About half of that growth came from Lloyd Triestino ......
