TOKYO: Japan Airlines System Corp (JAL Group) and All Nippon Airways Co Ltd (ANA), Japan's top two airlines, are to receive US$720mil in emergency loans from a state-run bank to help them get over the effects of SARS.
ANA said yesterday it would get a 15 billion yen (US$135mil) loan from the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), while JAL Group said it had obtained a 70 billion yen loan from the same bank
