Investors bid for Kongsberg Maritime

Investment group Nordic Capital is offering NOK 3.3 billion (about USD 480 million) to acquire Kongsberg Maritime, the civilian division of defense contractor Kongsberg Gruppen.

Nordic Capital said it made the offer Monday morning and has big plans for the company, which specializes in maritime electronics. Nordic Capital partner Bo Søderberg said his group aims to focus on research and more than double Kongsberg Maritime's revenues within the next five years ......
