BEIJING - China has launched a plan to double its current port capacity by 2010 by strategically developing facilities in the Bohai Rim and the Yangtze River and Pearl River deltas, state media reported on Wednesday.
"The central government has taken into full consideration the functions that these three areas are playing in the national economy," Jiang Qian, a senior official at the Ministry of Communications, was quoted by Xinhua news agency as saying
