THE Government will initiate a comprehensive port infrastructure development plan to cope with the fast-growing volume of box traffic at Port Klang.
Disclosing this, the Deputy Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Azlan Sultan Abu Bakar said the box traffic at Port Klang has been growing dramatically and this requires further planning.
Port Klang, which handled 3.2 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) last year, is expected to handle five million TEUs by the end of this year
