MUMBAI: Over 5,000 containers of metal scrap are currently held up at the ports of Mumbai, Nhava Sheva and Mundra, some for over two months. Ports are facing a logistical nightmare as every container is required to be thoroughly inspected after the government tightened norms for metal scrap imports following a fatal explosion in a Delhi scrap yard, and subsequent recovery of abandoned shells and bombs at various locations ......
