KOLKATA: The Centre has formed a committee of ministers to help reduce congestion at major domestic ports. The committee will work out a mid-term policy to reduce congestion and improve turnaround time of ships as per international standards.
"The government is quite aware of the infrastructure problem and the shipping minister is personally examining all the major ports that are hit by capacity constraints," said KT Chacko, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), at a meeting organised by Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) on Tuesday
