Kochi Port Shortlists Nine Companies For Vallarpadam Terminal

NEW DELHI, FEB 23: The Kochi Port Trust has shortlisted nine companies for an international container transshipment terminal. The shortlisted companies include Maersk, P&O, Dubai Port Customs, PSA, Adani Exports, International Container Terminal Service, Larsen & Toubro, a consortium of IL&FS and Punj Lloyd, and another consortium led by ACT Shipping.

After a pre-bid meeting last week, the port trust has called for financial offers by March 25. The port had received 14 request for qualification for the project. Among those which did not qualify are ULA, ABC of Mumbai, Zim Israel Navigation Co and the Kochi-based Paul Abrao ......
