MUMBAI, JULY 5: Container Corporation of India's (Concor) inability to evacuate containers at the JNPT has forced the trade to incur losses towards container detention charges and port warehouse rentals.
The figures of containers lying at JNPT have crossed the 11,000 mark, with 50 per cent of these being bound for Ludhiana. The trade is forced to incur losses running into crores of rupees towards payment of container detention charges and port warehouse rentals, with per day per container rentals at $3.5 for the delay
