Responding to a federal court order to end a 2-week-old strike, some independent truck drivers reported for work Monday as stranded cargo at the Port of Miami continued to rot and ruin in the summer heat.
Since June 28, up to 700 independent truckers have been on strike, demanding higher pay and protesting delays at the port that drive down wages because drivers are paid by the load, not by the hour
