FIVE international shipping operators have warned that they will stop transporting cargo in and out of Bangladesh if the furore that has erupted over a longstanding port law worsens.
If such drastic action is taken, trade between Bangladesh - one of whose key export is garments - and other countries could be severely hurt, as the five shipping firms move an estimated 80 per cent of the country's trade
