THE Ghanaian and Nigerian Shippers' Councils are to set up special courts to deal with Maritime and other commercial cases with a view to dispensing cases within the shortest possible time. For the Nigerian Maritime sector, an admiralty division is to be carved out of the present high court while the Ghanaian judicial authority is to set up special courts to be known as commercial courts.
The courts will have special rules and procedure to promote speedy and efficient disposal of commercial cases
