The Port of Sacramento is dying, and the governing body is keeping this failing financial enterprise alive by selling off prime pieces of West Sacramento land. Performance trends are all heading in the wrong direction. Cargo volume, and thus the revenue to operate the port, is in decline. For quick cash, the port authority is looking to sell more land around the port. That strategy mortgages the future of this valuable asset ......
