Iran's Ports and Shipping Organization (PSO) - the sole state-owned body in charge of policy-making in maritime and ports in the country - has recently taken measures to privatize the operations carried out in the ports.

The PSO has started to ease the regulations and the tariff system of the ports in an attempt to provide a modern competitive atmosphere and come out of traditional methods of business ......
