Concessioning: 72 Firms to Lose Stevedoring Contracts

About 72 stevedoring firms which provide cargo handling services at the nation's seaports are to lose their contracts with the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) as part of the implementation of the port concessioning programme of the government.
Also, 6,000 dockworkers employed by the stevedoring contractors will lose their jobs under the arrangement ......
