The eighth conference anniversary of 6 the 5 ESPO will hold and May to Limassol



5 and 6 May to next Four Seasons Hotel of Limassol the eighth conference will hold anniversary of the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) organized from the association of the European ports in collaboration with the Cyprus Port Authority.

This year the encounter will concern on the issues of the practice and the policy in the harbour field arranging them with a review of the current picture of European politics for the ports.

ESPO has evidenced that the harbour performance is a concept formed from many aspects and can regard the harbour operations and the logistics, the tendencies and the structure of the markets, the atmosphere and social integration, the associate-economic impact and the governance. The association has remembered of being coordinator of the project PPrism (Port Performance Indicators - Selection and Measurement), that it is co-financed by the European Union. To the conference of Limassol the partner of the project will introduce the state of advance of PPrism and will illustrate the development of an European system of appraisal of the harbour performances.

According to argument of the conference it is I yield of the decision of the EU commission to examine in the course of this year the picture of politics for the ports. Such review will regard the development and the financing of infrastructures, the concessions, the access at the market of the harbour services, the modernization, the harbour job and many other topics.
