Last month the container traffic in the Chinese ports amounted to 13,831,400 TEUs, with a progression of 11, 2% compared to May 2010. The only traffic in seaports amounted to 12,387,300 TEUs (+10.2%), while the inland port handled 1,444,100 TEUs have (+20.0%). Among the major ports, handled 2,780,000 TEUs Shanghai (+8.2%), Shenzhen 1,873,600 teu (+0.5%), Ningbo-Zhoushan 1,284,600 teu (+4.6%), Guangzhou 1,194,000 teu (+9.7%) and Qingdao 1,146,200 teu (+15.0%).
In the first five months of 2011 totaled a Chinese ports container traffic amounted to 63,800,000 TEUs, an increase of 13.0% over the corresponding period last year. The ports have handled 57,202,500 TEUs (+12.5%) and the inland port 6,597,500 teu (+18.3%). Among the major ports, handled 12,713,200 TEUs Shanghai (+11.4%) and Shenzhen 8,711,200 teu (+1.9%).
