The President of the Calabria Region, Giuseppe Scopelliti, has announced that it has obtained from the national government a round table on the crisis linked to the port of Gioia Tauro. The meeting, attended by Vice-President of the Region, Antonella Stasi, the Ministers of Economic Development Paul Roman, Infrastructure and Transport, Matteoli, and Labour, Maurizio Sacconi, will be held on June 22 at 11. 30 in Rome at the headquarters of the Department of Infrastructure.
Scopelliti stated that the region aims at the national table to arrive with a proposal that is shared as much as possible, precisely to avoid the issue of the port may be further delays in interventions by the government.
In recent days Scopelliti has launched a series of meetings with Assologistica, the largest association Confindustria reality of companies handling, storage and handling of goods, to illustrate to managers of various national companies the opportunities and incentives provided by the Region of Calabria for those who want to investing in the port of Gioia Tauro.
