Today the 27 European Union foreign ministers meeting in Luxembourg have again condemned violations of human rights and international law perpetrated by the Libyan regime of Gaddafi and have further strengthened EU sanctions against the regime decided to add assets of the Port Authorities of six African nation controlled by the regime to the list of assets frozen by the EU. Are excluded from this measure for humanitarian shipments.
In a statement, which does not specify what the Port Authority affected by the sanctions, the European Union Commission said the measure was taken as a further action against the military arsenal used by the regime against its own citizens.
