The Italian classification society RINA SpA and Italian Mediocredito, the bank Intesa Sanpaolo Group specializes in business development, today signed an agreement to integrate each other's competence and to enhance services in the country ever more useful and interesting. On this occasion, was presented the new loan, called Green Ship, designed specifically for the Italian ship owners who resorts to RINA classification and services to support the costs of improved performance in terms of marine environmental impact.
In particular, in operations on new buildings, can be financed up to 100% of costs related to the design and facilities that improve the environmental sustainability of the ship.In this case, are included in financing the costs of the "Green Plus", the highest award for environmental protection that RINA today can be attributed to a ship.
As part of the costs incurred to improve the environmental friendliness of existing vessels, however, the financial support of Italian Mediocredito covers up to 100% of the investments that RINA, compared with technical inspections, will certify as effective for this purpose.
The Green Ship duration of the loan ranges from a minimum of three years to a maximum of twelve and delivery can be made in a lump sum, upon completion of the investments bought in, or Work Progress.
