It was inaugurated today with the landing of the container APL Dubai, the operational activities to the new container terminal at the Chinese port of Qingdao in a joint venture managed by the group Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) of Singapore and the China International Holdings Co. and SITC United Qianwan Container Terminal Co. (QQCTU) ( of 27 February 2007 and 19 May 2011).
The new terminal, which has seven post-Panamax quay cranes and has an annual traffic capacity of 1.5 million TEUs, will serve primarily dell'APL ships, a subsidiary of the NOL Group, and the SITC. APL's fleet used on major routes world touches the port of Qingdao with over 200 calls per year.
