The international panel charged with identifying the project's second winner of the European Sea Ports Organisation ESPO Awards (ESPO) has selected a shortlist made up of the proposals made by the Authority Poortuali Koper, Stockholm and Thessaloniki. The theme of this year's award is "Creative strategies to communicate the port to the wider public."
"This year - said the jury president, John B. Richardson, former head of the Maritime Task Force of the European Commission - the quality of the entries was once again outstanding. However, several ports have proposed only one particular element of communication relating to events or celebrations while we were looking for long-term strategic approaches. However, the proposals that were not included in the shortlist will be at least an inspiration to other ports and will also qualify for some future themes ESP Award. "
ESP Award The winner will be announced on November 9 during a ceremony at the Town Hall in Brussels.
