Last year the port of Venice has enlivened approximately altogether 25,4 million tons of goods, with a bending of the 3.6% regarding 26,3 million tons in 2011. The liquid bulk is diminished of the 0.9% attesting itself to 11,1 million tons and the bulk sand banks is dropped of 1.9% to the 6,5 million one tons. In the field of the goods several the traffic is piled to 7,8 million tons (- 8.4%).

The Harbour Authority of Venice has specified that in the section of the bulk positive peaks in handling of crude oil (+4.6%), coal (+50% are recorded) and minerals (+3.1%), while the exceptional cargo the product management iron and steel and of project the cargo (), of which the port of Venice stops the exclusive feature of the transport in Alto Adriatico thanks to the detail configuration of the docks and to the existing professionalities, have made to mark a +1.5%.

The Harbour Authority has emphasized moreover that, with a total of 428.126 teu enlivened in 2012, the port of call has been confirmed to according to place between the ports of Alto Adriatico, after Koper, in the field of the containerized trade. At last the harbour authority has found that in last the three months of the 2012 they are recorded given encouraging, with an increase of the +10.4% of the total tonnage of the goods, a +18.6% for the liquid bulk and a +26.6% for the solid bulk; well also the bulk irons worker (+32.7%), crude oil (+88%), coal (+55%) and cereals (+130%).
