Clergeau (CRPM): the regions will support with conviction the development of the European navalmeccanica industry



Leadership 2020, the new strategy of industrial politics for the naval shipbuilding field of the European that is introduced yesterday to Brussels ( on 20 February 2013), it calls the regions to an active role of I support to the navalmeccanica section of the European Union. To the appeal it has answered the Conference of the Marine Peripheral Regions of Europe (CRPM), than yesterday to the event it was represented by Christophe Clergeau, first vice-president of the Region of the Countries of the Loira.

"We - Clergeau has said - first of all confide in the vocation of an Europe to construct ships, different ships types, the more sure, the more ecological, plus high tech, and in the sollicitation of the competences within the industries of the shipbuilding to the aim to pursue active politics of diversification and differentiation in all the fields of the marine industries, as that of offshore wind energy. This transformation of the industrial woven one - it has found the CRPM representative - is able to safeguard the places of work, in particular offering formation to the young people and to the dependent, that they are to the center of the regional competences".

Christophe Clergeau has emphasized as the review of the European strategy Leadership, to which the regions they have participated actively, goes in the right direction: "now - it has explained - there is the knowledge of the challenges in order to safeguard resources and occupation in the industrial field and is the knowledge of the necessity to support the marine industries when they are putting into effect a change and being gone towards a "blue increase". Two years ago - it has observed - the objectives of Europe in the field of the marine industries were not clear. It is for us a great satisfaction to see that this strategy is taking form, as well as more that is evident confronting it with how much is happening in the field. Now - it has added - it is necessary that it is implemented with the contribution of all the interested parts".

Clergeau has remembered that twenty or so Regions is working together in the within of the initiative "the marine industries for Blue Increase" started in October 2011 and guided from the Region of the Countries of the Loira under the aegis of the CRPM and that also the regions that have participated to the drawing up of the relation Leadership 2020 have transmitted to the European institutions the worries of the small and averages enterprises, that they constitute the base of the field: "the secret of success - Clergeau has stated - is in the fact that the actors involved in all the chain of the value work to tightened contact. This collaborativo approach needs to gain ground, also to European level. In the marine-harbour field - it has concluded - there is the potential one for the birth of real European industrial champions and for the increase of the occupation".
