the Harbour Authority of the East starts collaborations with Turkey, Germany, Austria and Croatia



The Harbour Authority of the East has announced to have obtained with the councillorship to the Transports of the Region Apulia, in occasion of the participation to the fair Transport Logistic that has held at the beginning of this month to Monk of Bavaria, the availability of Frank Janssens, general manager of the Head office of Customs of the EU commission, and the Agencies of Customs of Italy, Serbia, Albania, Croatia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece, Rumania, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Montenegro and Slovenia with the partner of the project strategic ADB-Multiplatform to activate the interistituzionali procedures in order to participate to the work for the Belt Blue and the new European directive on the customs procedures in appraisal to next the 26 the European Parliament june. An other result achieved from the apulian Harbour Authority in the course of the participation to the German logistic fair has been the opening of a table of job with the Harbour Authority of Ploce, in Croatia, for the activation of a route ro-ro pax between Monopolies and Ploce in order to intercept the flows of religious tourism towards Medjugorje and Saint Giovanni Rotondo. "In these years - the president of the apulian harbour authority has explained, Francesco Mariani - Bari has become the port of reference for the pilgrims who go to Medjugorje, via Dubrovnik carrying the ship to full capacity. With the activation of the Monopoly line it will be possible to increase the traffics and to open new markets for the enterprises".

Moreover, in the course of the Transport Logistic, thanks to the support of the Door Internationalization of the Region Apulia, the Harbour Authority of the East has established contracts with the German port of Rostock. Remembering that the ports Bari and Rostock are identical for structure, management, type of traffics (all transboundaries and mainly extra Schenghen), without railroad in port and strongly integrated to the urban fabric, Marian it has explained that "Rostock and East have started with the interested enterprises, Lotras for Italy and DB for Germany, a working hypothesis that is realized in the activation of an intermodal route that connects the Apulia to Baltic Germany widening the offer for our operators and differentiating the flows with the intermediate selection of hub that they allow the creation of dedicated trains block that the flows from Turkey and i intercept Caucasici countries via Bari and from Far East via Rostock".

The apulian harbour agency has started also a collaboration with the Harbour Authority of Izmir and Mersin in order to activate a line weekly magazine ro-ro dedicated between Bari and Turkey.
