Decrease of the traffic in the port of Genoa in the months of August and september



It is continued in the months of August and september of this year the bending of the volume of traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Genoa. Last August a contraction of the -9,1% is recorded being enlivened altogether 4,05 million tons regarding 4,45 million tons in August 2012. The goods several is diminished of -6,5% to the 2,09 million one tons, of which 1,41 million containerized tons of goods (- 10.7%) totaled with a handling of containers pairs to 153.145 teu (- 4.8%) and 678 thousand conventional tons of goods (+3.9%). The volume of mineral oils is dropped of -7,8% to the 1,51 million one tons while that of the other liquid bulk has remained stable to 65 thousand tons, of which 17 thousand tons of oils vegetables and wine (+7.4%) and 48 thousand tons of chemicals (- 2.4%). The solid bulk is piled to 104 thousand tons (- 14.4%) to which they join in the industrial field other 13 thousand tons of solid bulk (+19.2%) and 176 thousand tons of iron worker (- 33.3%).

Last August the traffic of the passengers has grown of 6.1% to 624 thousand unit, of which 500 thousand of fleeting the ferries (- 0.9%) and 124 thousand crocieristi (+49.1%).

To september the 2013 port of Genoa has enlivened 3,73 million tons of goods, with a reduction of -5,8% regarding the 3,96 million one tons in September last year. The goods several has recorded a rise of 1.5% going up to the 2,32 million one tons, of which 1,56 million tons of containerized cargos (- 1.0%) realized with a container handling pairs to 159.128 teu (+3.3%) and 762 thousand conventional tons of goods (+6.9%). The bending of mineral oils, than tons have been attested to 990 thousand, it has been emphasized to -17,1% while the other liquid bulk is increased of 5.1% to 74 thousand tons, of which oil 31 thousand vegetables and wine (+54.0%) and 42 thousand of chemicals (- 14.9%). The solid bulk has grown of 11.5% to 79 thousand tons, while in the industrial field they are dropped of the -46,3% to eight thousand one tons and the iron worker is diminished of the -24,4% to 180 thousand tons.

Last month the traffic of the passengers has grown of 3.7% to 371 thousand unit, of which 116 thousand crocieristi (+24.4%) and 255 thousand fleeting of ferries (- 3.5%).

In the first nine months of the 2013 port of the capital of Liguria it has enlivened a total of 36,89 million tons of goods, with a contraction of the -4,6% regarding 38,67 million tons in the period January-september last year. The volume of the goods several is diminished of -4,5% to the 20,83 million one tons, of which 14,61 million tons of goods in container (- 6.5%) totaled enlivening 1.493.840 container teu (- 3.2%) and 6,22 million conventional tons of goods (+0.4%). The mineral oils are dropped of -2,0% to the 11,80 million one tons and the other liquid bulk is diminished of the -8,2% to 577 thousand tons, of which 200 thousand tons of oils vegetables and wine (- 20.4%) and 377 thousand tons of chemicals (- 0.2%). The bulk sand banks has totaled 589 thousand tons (- 7.4%). In the industrial section the solid bulk is piled to 70 thousand tons (- 45.4%) and the iron worker to 2,24 million tons (- 11.2%).

In the period January-september of this year the passengers have been 2,43 million (+4.8%), of which 806 thousand crocieristi (+37.2%) and 1,62 million passengers of ferries (- 6.3%).
