the presidency of turn of the North Adriatic Ports Association is passed to Koper



The presidency of turn of NAPA (North Adriatic Ports Association) is passed by Venice to Koper, to the new ones installed president of Luka Koper, Andraz Novak, than it guides the association from on 14 April until the end of this year. In occasion of the shareholders' meeting of the association that is constituted by the ports of Koper, Rijeka, Trieste and Venice, the presidents of the four ports of call, in taking note of the optimal obtained results in recent months, have reaffirmed the intention to continue to work jointly realizing initiatives focused mainly on the promotion and the institutional cooperation between the ports of call. In the course of the encounter he is evidenced that 2014 will be a particularly challenging year for all the ports of call, in particular for initiatives turned to Europe beginning from the new lease on life of financing 2014-2020; the members of the association have therefore full express support to the new president.

Emphasizing that, in quality of port of call multiport, NAPA can inside play a fundamental role of the European programs of development which CEF, Horizon 2020 and the programs of territorial cooperation, the four ports have announced that in the next few months the ports of call of NAPA will prepare a detailed outline of the priority projects to realize and on which to demand the compartecipazione to the European programs, to the aim to coherently stimulate systematically and every action of mutual support for the realization of the development plans of the ports of call through innovations, competitiveness and sustainable development.

Program 2014 of the association will be very intense also from the advertising point of view, with the participation to four important events of the field of the transports: to April NAPA will be present to Marrakech (Morocco) to second Med Ports Conference2014; during the entitled session "the economy of the Mediterranean, development that interests the regional market" president Novak will introduce the activities of NAPA. In the end of May the ports will take part to the tenth Trans Middle East 2014 to Doha (Qatar). To half june they will participate jointly to the more proud important than field in China, the Transport&Logistic di Shanghai, and to October a representation of the ports of call will visit the twelfth Intermodal Africa South 2014 to Durban.

The association has at last remembered that NAPA is confirmed by the Innovation&Network Executive Agency (INEA) of the EU commission which best practice in the field of the harbour cooperation. The agency has asked the association to accommodate the tour of study of a delegation of Norwegian ports (Kristiansand, Grenland-Porsgrunn, Larvik and Drammen) with the objective to analyze the model of governance of the adriatic north and to estimate its trasferibilità to other European regions.
