In the first semester the traffic goods in the port of Ancona is increased of +36%



In the first semester of this year the traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Ancona has recorded an increment of +36% regarding the same period of 2013. The Harbour Authority of the marchigiano port of call has announced that the effect of the resumption of the activities of the refinery of Falconara has been revealed still very important, with a liquid +82% of goods in the first half of 2014, but the positive sign regards also the goods solid bulk (+34%) and in container (540,800 tons, +3%). In light decrease the course of the goods on heavy means (- 4.1%) with 988.000 tons of goods.

Regarding the traffic of the containers in terms of number of pieces from 20 ' (teu) the total of the first six months of 2014 of 75.785 teu is enlivened (+0.5%). The Harbour Authority has marked in particular the positive trend of the months of May and june (respective +20% and +17%) that they have allowed the recovery of the bending of the months precedence. The traffic of Tir and trailer has seen 60,200 transits (- 8%).

In the first half of this year the traffic fleeting in the port of Ancona has seen to continue positive dynamics of the Greek director who, with 230.500 transits, represents 72% of the passengers on ferry totals. On the whole, the increase of the traffic fleeting on ferries in the semester is of total +2.4% with 318,749 transits. The traffic cruises has suffered instead of the reduced number of ports of call and it has been attested to 16.900 passengers.

So the space is delimited where to deposit the mud of the dredgings of the marchigiani ports. The test of the impermeabilizzazione of the bathtub will be assessed with a test that it will be started on september.

The overwhelmed bathtub of, placed beside the commercial port on the new dock, is one of the participations previewed from the Agreement for the dredgings of the marchigiane harbour areas, to service also of the ports of Civitanova Marche, Fano, Numana, Senigallia as well as of Ancona. The value of the participation for the adaptation of the bathtub is of 10 million euros, co-financed from Region Marche and Harbour Authority of Ancona. The work was begun to september 2013.

Moreover, once filled up and stabilized, the space is adapted above to large squares for storage of the goods. It continues therefore the engagement of the Harbour Authority in order to improve the quality of infrastructures to service of the enterprises of the territory. An approval to the Region Marche for the collaboration and the sharing of this important objective".
