Ustica Lines has stopped to operate the marine connections for the Islands Pelagie and Ustica



From on 1° December Ustica Lines it has stopped to operate own marine services for passengers for the Pelagie Islands and Ustica, realized for 21 years with fast means from Porto Empedocle to Linosa and Lampedusa and Palermo to Ustica, as the Sicilian Region has not postponed the contract of service in expiration on 30 November. In a note to signature of the president of the company, Vittorio Morace, emphasizes itself still more that "Ustica Lines deeply is afflicted for having due to interrupt the connections with the Islands Pelagie and Ustica, very aware that this will determine uneasiness to the citizens, today penalized from choices, independent of the will of this society, than they do not hold account of the difficulties of which they live and they operate in the smaller islands".

The contract stipulated from the Sicilian Region with Ustica Lines has expired 31st October and the regional agency has negotiates with the company a limited delay of 30 days.
