PSA, GDP and Beibu Gulf Port will manage a new container terminal in the Chinese port of Qinzhou



Terminalista group PSA International of Singapore has signed a joint venture agreement of with the compatriot Pacific International Lines (GDP), active shipowning company in the marine transport of the container with a fleet employed mainly in the Asian south-east but also in Middle East, Asia and in other world-wide areas, and with the Chinese Beibu Gulf Port Group (BPG), public society that manages the ports of Fangcheng, Qinzhou and Beihai in the Chinese province of Guangxi, with the objective to manage a new container terminal in the port of Qinzhou.

The new society, called BEIBU GULF-PSA International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. (BPCT), will manage an endowed terminal of 1.533 linear meters of docks equipped with super crane post-Panamax and a depth of the -15,1 backdrop meters. The traffic ability will be pairs to three million teu per year. The terminal will become operating in the last trimester of this year.

PSA has emphasized that joint venture represents the income of the terminalista group in the south-western area of China, that is one of the regions with the most elevated economic rate of growth of the nation.
