The president and managing director of Finnlines, Emanuele Grimaldi, have evidenced that the results achieved from the company in according to trimester and the first semester of the 2015 demonstrate that Finnlines has assumed the suitable measures in order to consolidate own position on the market. "Independently from the decrease of the -6,7% of the turnover caused from the macroeconomic conjuncture, from the reduction of the surcharge for the bunker, from the maintenance of the ships, the participations of retrofit and the adaptation of the tonnage - it has specified Grimaldi - we have been able to vary our activities for being more efficient relatively to the more competitive costs and therefore in the current recessive economic scene that is prevailing in Finland".
In the first six months of the 2015 fleet of Finnlines it has transported 257 thousand passengers (265 thousand in the first half of 2014), 959 thousand tons of goods (1,2 million), 74 thousand car not to the continuation of the passengers (39 thousand) and 313 thousand cargo unit (325 thousand).
