Wärtsilä Corporation records an increase of the volume of transactions and a contraction of the orders



In the third trimester of this year the revenues of the Finnish group Wärtsilä Corporation are gone up of +9% attesting to 1,22 billion euros regarding 1,12 billion euros in the period July-september last year. To the increase - it has specified today the president and managing director of the group, Björn Rosengren, having introduced the quarterly budget - they have contributed to the increase of the activities in the segment of the spare parts and the contribution deriving from the acquisition of the German L-3 Marine Systems International, society that the group has bought at the beginning of this year ( on 17 December 2014). The single turnover of the Marine Solutions division that takes care to develop and to commercialize produced and services for the field of the marine transport and the offshore industry, has recorded an increment of +23% having attested itself to 448 million euros. The group has totaled altogether an operating profit of 160 million euros (+13%) and a profit clearly of 97 million euros regarding 109 million euros in the third trimester of 2014.

In the third trimester of the 2015 Wärtsilä it has confiscated new orders for a total pairs to 1,09 billion euros, with a contraction of the -17% regarding 1,31 billion in the same period last year. The orderbook on 30 September it was pairs to 5,11 billion euros, advanced value of +9% regarding that on September 30, 2014. In the quarter July-september of this year the single Marine Solutions division has obtained new orders for 407 million euros (- 12%) and the value of the pocketbook orders of the activity segment has been attested on 30 September to 2,70 billion euros (+14%).

The group clearly has archived item the first nine months of 2015 with a profit of 292 million euros on revenues for 3,44 billion euros, with increments respective of +26% and +6% on the period January-september last year. The operating profit is piled to 397 million euros (+7%). In the first nine months of this year the new acquired orders from Wärtsilä have been pairs to 3,53 billion euros (- 1%).

The single Marine Solutions division has closed the period January-september of 2015 with revenues pairs to 1,12 billion euros (+14%) and with new orders for 1,13 billion euros (- 12%).
