Livorno is the first equipped Italian port of a system of cold ironing for the great ships

The Harbour Authority has the intention of extend the service of supply of electric power from earth to the entire section of the cruises with the realization of others three points of connection". In the next few years they will come in fact realized new systems of electrification: two to Alto Fondale, than the Town development plan of the port it assigns to the cruise ships, and one to the Descent Bordering, than it is found in front of Alto Fondale.
