Large the Navi Veloci has celebrated the inauguration of the new center of Genoa with a business game



The navigation company Large Navi Veloci (GNV) has inaugurated the own new center of Genoa having celebrated the event with a business game, a competitive strategic game that it has involved 16 students selected through the Field Guideline of the University of Genoa near the Faculties of Political science, Engineering, Economy and Commerce and Sciences of the Formation.

The students have divided themselves in four teams and have simulated of being to the guide of four companies of ferries in competition in the same market, the Mediterranean, subject to strong seasonal variations. The challenge is consistita in the realization of the business strategy and in the definition of elements which prices, levels of quality of the service, segments of customers to privilege, positioning on the market and levers of communication to use.

"It is - it has emphasized the president and Large managing director of the Navi Veloci, Roberto Martinoli - a beautiful occasion for giving to a new impulse to the synergy between university and enterprise on the territory. It must look to the future and we hope that this experience, than to the boys liked very many, is before a business series game GNV".

Every student of the winning team has received a free ticket, round-trip, for a destination to chosen between those operated by GNV. Moreover in the course of the day the tutors of every team have had a chance for estimate all the participants to the business game and choose four students for a future internship near the navigation company.

While the European Escola de Short Sea Shipping (2E3S) has awarded with the certificate of conformance Arete the ship Excelsior of the GNV that work on the draft Tangeri - Barcelona - Genoa. The certificate indicates that the ship satisfies requirement of fixed qualities from the 2E3S for being able to accommodate course MOST (Motorways of the Sea Training).

Eduard Rodés, director of the 2E3S that is an European center of formation - of which GNV it is one of the five charter members - whose main objective is to as a basis promote the intermodal transport for the sustainable logistics in Europe, has delivered the certificate to the commander of the ship, Pasquale Mendoza, and to Matteo De Candia, the representative of GNV to Barcelona.
