Agreement CNR - Costa Crociere for activity of search in the fields of oceanography and marine sciences



The National Research Council (CNR) has undersigned an agreement picture with the crocieristica company Costa Crociere for the development of activity of search of particular relief in the fields of oceanography and marine sciences. The data collected through a continuous monitoring along the covered features of sea from the ships, which temperature, salinities, dissolved oxygen, will be elaborated and used for the study of the climatic changes in the Mediterranean. Moreover a series of observatories for the sight and the study of the behavior and the migrations of the cetaceans will be instituted on board while browsing diurnal.

The agreement previews that Coast puts on own ships and the relative professionalities of edge in order to support the activities of search of the scientific net of the CNR. Moreover the two partner will develop to combined initiatives of same relative spreading and sensitization to the thematic ones.

With the subscription of the agreement picture, of the duration four-year-old (2016-2020), a Bilateral Committee with the task is instituted also to define and to coordinate the actions of collaboration, of which two representatives of the CNR and two representatives take part Coast, named respective from the president of the CNR and the general manager of Costa Crociere. The modalities will be defined to the action of stipulate of the operating conventions, but between the main actions it re-enters the availability and the support to investigators CNR to being able to have use of the ships Coast to the aims of the realization of the search activities.
