Last month the port of Valencia has enlivened 5,0 million tons of goods regarding 5,4 million tons in July 2015, with a mainly caused decrease of the -7,6% from strikes that in the past weeks have slowed down the activity on the docks and from which other ports have drawn benefit, between which that of Barcelona that last month has marked an increment of +25.1% of the containerized trade ( on 17 August 2016).

Last month the containerized trade in the port of Valencia is piled to 4,0 million tons, down of the -9,3% on July 2015. In terms of containers from 20 ' (teu) the traffic of the container has turned out pairs 345 thousand teu (- 12.2%). In the segment of the goods conventional, in which the total has been of 720 thousand tons, the bending has been of -9,4%. Handling of new motors vehicle of factory instead is increased of +4.0% to 48 thousand vehicles.

In bending (- 4.8%) also the liquid bulk, that they have totaled 98 thousand tons, while the solid bulk is increased of +89.8% attesting to 168 thousand tons.

Last month the passengers journeyed in the port of Valencia have been 102 thousand (+23.4%), of which 62 thousand in the field of ferries (+37.9%) and 39 thousand in that of cruises (+5.9%).

In July the 2016 entire traffic of the goods enlivened from the three ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandía, that they fall back under the jurisdiction of the Harbour Authority of Valencia, is piled to beyond 5,6 million tons (- 6.3%).

In the first seven months of the 2016 single harbour port of call of Valencia it has enlivened altogether 37,8 million tons, with a progression of +0.6% regarding 37,6 million tons in the January-July period last year. In the January-July period of the 2016 three ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandía have enlivened a total than more 41,8 million tons than goods (+0.5%).
