In the field of the goods several the total has been of 3,8 million tons (+31.6%), of which 2,7 million tons of goods in container (+44, %) pairs to 266 thousand teu (+32.9% realized with a handling of containers) and 1,1 million conventional tons of goods (+8.3%). Handling of new cars of factory has totaled 84 thousand unit (- 4.0%). In the section of the liquid bulk the traffic light has grown of +0,9 to the 1,1 million one tons, of which 878 thousand tons of hydrocarbons (+4.9%) and 194 thousand tons of other cargos liquids (- 13.9%), while in that of the bulk sand banks a bending of the -5,6% is recorded being enlivened 456 thousand tons.

To May 2017 the traffic of the passengers in the Catalan port has grown of +9.8% to 390 thousand people, of which 297 thousand crocieristi (+9.9%) and 93 thousand fleeting of ferries (+9.3%).

In the first five months of this year the port of Barcelona has enlivened a total of 23,3 million tons of goods, with a progression of +20.5% regarding 19,3 million tons in the period January-May of 2016. Totally the goods several tons (+25.9% have been attested almost 16,1 million), of which 11,4 million containerized tons of goods (+36.8%) pairs to beyond 1,1 million teu (+27.6%) and 4,6 million conventional tons of goods (+5.3% totaled with a handling of container). The total of the solid bulk has been than more 1,6 million tons (- 12.2%), of which 580 thousand tons of soybean seeds (- 0.6%), 436 thousand tons of concrete and clinker (- 26.8%), 233 thousand tons of potash (+5.2%), 145 thousand tons of cereals and flours (- 30.3%), 92 thousand tons of scrap irons (+7.1%), 57 thousand tons of salt (+188.0%), 48 thousand tons of feeds and feeds (+11.6%), 28 thousand tons of other not metallic minerals (- 40.8%) and 9 thousand tons of other metallic residual minerals and (- 8.6%).
