To August the volume of goods journeyed through the Suez Canal has been pairs to 77,2 million tons (+5.5%)



Last month in the Suez Canal they are journeyed 1,528 ships, 4.5% in more regarding 1.462 in August 2016, of which 356 oil tankers (0%) and 1,171 ships of other type (+6.0%). The ships that last August have crossed the channel Egyptian transported 77,2 million tons of goods (+5.5%), of which 40,1 million tons of boarded cargos on the ships that are journeyed from north to south (+13.5%), volume constituted from 7,0 million oil tons of oil and producing (to +51.5%) and 33,1 million tons of other types of goods (+7.8%), and 37,1 million tons on the ships journeyed from south to north (- 2.0%), volume constituted from 9,5 million oil tons of oil and producing (- 13.6%) and 27,6 million tons of other goods (+2.8%).

In the first eight months of 2017 in the channel they are journeyed altogether 11,477 ships, with a progression of +2.4% regarding 11.207 in the period January-August last year, of which 2,922 oil tankers (+2.2%) and 8,555 ships of other type (+2.5%). The journeyed ships transported a total of 591,5 million tons of goods (+9.7%), of which 309,3 million boarded tons on the ships directed to south (+19.4%), volume constituted from 66,9 million oil tons of oil and producing (to +48.2%) and 242,3 million tons of other cargos (+13.3%), and 282,2 million tons of cargo on the ships directed to north (+0.7%), formed total northbound from 72,7 million oil tons of oil and producing (- to 2.8%) and 209,5 million tons of other cargos (+1.9%).

In the first eight months of this year the main boarded oil cargo volumes on the ships journeyed from north to south were constituted by 22,4 million tons of crude oil (+92.3%), 20,0 million tons of fuels (+63.7%), 6,5 million tons of naphta (- 6.0%) and 5,6 million tons of gasolines (+42.7%), while more consisting the cargos than other types of goods were constituted by 156,0 million containerized tons of goods (+13.0%), 27,6 million tons of cereals (- 2.6%), 19,2 million tons of minerals and metals (+6.3%), 6,7 million tons of fertilizers (+71.0%) and 5,7 million tons of coal and coke (+370.0%).

In the first eight months of this year the main boarded oil cargo volumes on the ships journeyed from south to north were constituted by 47,5 million tons of crude oil (+3.0%), 11,8 million tons of diesel oils (- 11.5%), 10,6 million tons of gasolines (- 13.0%) and 579 thousand tons of fuels (+16.7%), while the most elevated volumes than other types of goods tons of natural gas which liquified (- 12.8%), 9,6 million tons of producing in metal (- 15.1% were constituted by 156,6 million tons of cargos in container (+0.3%), 11,2 million), 8,0 million of tons of chemicals (to +11.9%), 7,1 million tons of oils vegetables (+8.8%) and 5,9 million tons of coal and coke (+66.9%).
