Letter of the president of the port of Venice to the colleagues of Trieste, Ravenna, Koper and Rijeka for I throw again of NAPA



Today Pino Musolino, president of the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Settentrionale, the agency that manages the port of Venice, has sent a letter to the presidents of the ports of Trieste, Ravenna, Koper and Rijeka inviting them to an encounter for I confront profit to throw again the activities of the North Adriatic Ports Association (NAPA), the association constituted at the end of 2009 from the harbour authorities of Trieste, Koper, Venice and Ravenna and that in 2010 he has seen the income of the Croatian port and at the beginning of the 2013 escape of port the authority of Ravenna ( of 11 November 2009).

Musolino has evidenced that the Chinese plan of strategic development "One Belt, One Road" "will sure have an impact on the traffics between Europe and the Far East, the ribilanciamento of the net of transport of the European Union in order to strengthen the Countries of the south and their ports, the necessity to extend our basin of user of the container - has found Musolino - is only some of the fields in which we will have to fight in order to defend our role in the European market and in order to increase our weight in the economic system and of the transports of the EU".

"I am aware - the letter of the president of the AdSP of Mare Adriatico Settentrionale continues - than the management of NAPA has during the last few years not been an easy task, the contrasts between the ports of call have not helped the creation of a common distance for a sustainable increase and in the long term. With this letter I want to emphasize my personal engagement in order to change this trend and will put my best foot forward in order to carry in NAPA a new approach, based on a clear cooperation and the sharing of ideas and initiatives".

"Deeply they are convinced - it has concluded Musolino - than NAPA represents a great opportunity in order to above all discuss, to analyze, to inquire and to share the best practical and ideas, and, that it is the more effective instrument in order to carry to the attention of the European institutions, and in general terms of the international organisms, the opinion of the ports of the Adriatic North. For this, I would want to propose to convene a reunion to high level of all the members of NAPA in order to discuss more approfonditamente about the ideas, opportunity, challenges and potential threats with the objective to hinge a new milestone for the association, so that we can all look back ahead new and ambitiouses objectives for our ports".
