The port of Barcelona has established the own new record of traffic for the October month



Last month the port of Barcelona has enlivened almost 5,3 million tons of goods, total that the new record of traffic enlivened from the Spanish port of call represents in October and that it in October constitutes an increment of +36.4% on 3,9 million the tons of goods enlivened 2016 and an increase of +15.3% record of compared to the previous 4,6 million tons obtained in October 2007.

The new relative record to the October month is reached thanks to more consisting the volumes than traffic never enlivened in October in the segment of the goods containerized, the goods conventional and the liquid bulk.

In particular, last month in the field of the container the traffic has been of 2,6 million tons and is realized with a container handling pairs to 257 thousand teu, with increments respective of +44.2% and +31.8% on the October the 2016 (precedence record was established 2007 with in October 2,2 million tons and 228 thousand teu). In the section of the goods conventional tons are enlivened 957 thousand, with an increase of +4.3% record on the previous marked in October 2016 with 921 thousand tons. In the segment of the liquid bulk the total has been of beyond 1,3 million tons (+61.9% on October 2016 and +26.3% record of on the previous 4,2 million tons obtained in October 2014), of which than less 1,2 million tons than hydrocarbons (+78.8%) and 195 thousand tons of other liquid bulk (+3.7%).

Last month, moreover, in the segment of the new cars of factory vehicles (- 16.8%) and in that of the solid bulk are enlivened 405 thousand tons (+19.7%), while in the field of the passengers the traffic has been of 446 thousand people (- 4.3% are enlivened 71 thousand), of which 362 thousand crocieristi (- fleeting 7.6%) and 84 thousand of ferries (+13.3%).

In the first ten months of the 2017 Spanish port it has enlivened altogether 49,8 million tons of goods, with an increment of +24.3% on the January-October period last year. The several goods is piled to 34,2 million tons (+28.3%), of which 24,7 million tons of goods in container (+40.6%) pairs 2,5 million teu (+31.1% totaled with a handling of containers) and almost 9,5 million conventional tons of goods (+4,4). Handling of new cars has been of 689 thousand unit (- 9.7%). The traffic of the liquid bulk has been attested 12,0 million to tons (+22.7%), of which 9,8 million tons of hydrocarbons (+25.7%) and 2,2 million tons of other liquid bulk (+11.3%), and that of the bulk sand banks to 3,6 million tons (- 1.1%).

In the first ten months of this year the passengers have been 3,7 million (+1.8%), of which 2,4 million in the section of the cruises (- 2.8%) and 1,3 million in that of ferries (+11.5%).
