Mario Mattioli is the new president of Federation of the Sea



Mario Mattioli is elected unanimously for the next biennium president of the Federation of the Italian marine system (Federazione of the Sea), the organization that reunites the national cluster of the marine activities. Vices president of the Federation are named the president of Assonave, Vincenzo Petrone, and the past president of Federagenti, Umberto Masucci, and of Ucina, Anton Francesco Albertoni. President of honor of the Federation remains past president Corrado Antonini, general secretary Carlo Lombardi, vice-secretary general Marina Stella, which to Francesco Mariani and Laurence Martin join.

Mattioli, that he is Shipping president of the Italian Confederation (Confitarma), has explained that the job program that proposes "is simple and - has specified corresponds to the central consideration from which the Federation of the Sea has been born: to always favor more the unitary representation of the marine cluster near the legislator, the government, the administrations, the public opinion, the other associative truths, in Italy and abroad, and to examine, to deepen and to debate the general and particular topics that they cover a meaning for the valorization of the Italian marineria as factor of development of the Country. It is a common interest regarding which the Federation remains opened also to the marine organizations that do not take part any or of they have exited".

The renewed summits of the Federation of the Sea, in this phase of reflection on the order of the Country, have held to restate, with the force and the unit of all the organizations that compose it, the absolute necessity to recreate an effective center of political-administrative coordination dedicated to the marine activities: Ministry of the Sea or dedicated department of the Presidency of the council, however a structure that it knows to read and to innovate the passage tradition of the Ministry of the Merchant navy, today reduced to an only ministerial direction, newly putting to system the management of the entire marine cluster, whose aspects today are dispersed between various administrations, with sure damages for the development they and of Italy. To such fine, the new summits of the Federation have been declared ready to meet all the political forces.

Successively to the assembly of the Federation of the Sea, an encounter between the Council of the Federation and the new operating summit of ENMC (European has held Maritime Networks of Clusters), the president Arjen Uytendaal and the general secretary Olivier van Paasschen, which are starting their action meeting the exponents of the main European marine clusters in order better to define of the common interests, with the aim to assure a greater weight to the Economy Blue also to communitarian level.
