The Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale has announced that the EU commission has confirmed the financing, in the within of Program CEF - Connecting Europe Facility, of the project "introduced TriesteRailPort" last April from the harbour agency of Mare Adriatico Orientale. The project previews the potenziamento of harbour railway infrastructures of Marzio Field to Trieste, with the possibility at the same time to operate trains from 750 meters coming from the various harbour terminals, so increasing considerable the competitiveness of the port of call.
The budget total of the project, that it will finish within 2023, is of 32,7 million euros, of which 20% of financing unsecured and 80% through a financing with facilitated rates for which the negotiations with the European Investment Bank are in advanced phase.
