Started the contest for the planning of technical and economic feasibility of the new outer dam of the port of Genoa



The Authority of Harbour System of the Ligurian Sea Western has announced that the procedure of contest for the confidence of the planning of technical and economic feasibility of the new outer dam of the port of Genoa is published, contract of the value of beyond 13,5 million euros that are cured by Invitalia in quality of headquarters of committenza for the AdSP(on 13 April 2018). The expiration of the ban is fixed for next 28 December.

The editing of the project of technical and economic feasibility of the new dam, object of the contract, will be carried out in two phases. In the first the planner, chosen by means of the contest procedure, will have to at least characterize and to analyze to three possible progettuali solutions alternatives, elaborating for each of they the feasibility document. During this phase it will be necessary to adapt also the plan of the investigations relative to each of the progettuali solutions. In the second phase the planner will have to develop to all the necessary investigations and studies for the definition of the progettuali aspects, in the respect of the contents of the introductory document to the planning and online with the outcomes of the public debate. Between the two progettuali phases, in fact, the Authority of Harbour System will proceed to the accomplishment of a public debate (as expected from Prime Minister's decree of the 10 ministers May 2018, n. 76) not only in an optical of transparency, information and participation democratic to the decisional processes, but also as possible instrument of prevention towards forms of contrast to the realization of public works and deflation of the next litigation, allowing I confront "upstream" in sight of the beginning of the work.

The AdSP has remembered that the new configuration of the dam will see an advance to sea of the current work of about 500 meters, for a development little less than five kilometers, on medium grounds of -40 meters. The works will involve an investment of about 800 million euros second how much specifying today from the harbour agency, than previously had assumed a figure of about a billion of euro. The authority has remembered moreover that on the new dam the port of Genoa will be able to count on an infrastructure that will allow the access with the port also to the ships of greater dimension, guaranteeing safety of the transits in entrance and escape and the protection of the internal basins of the port and that, with the realization of the infrastructure, the port of call will be able to receive the more and more great units of last generation and portacontainer, with an ability until 22 thousand teu.
