Stable the traffic enlivened in 2018 in the ports of Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta



In the 2018 ports of Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta have enlivened beyond 16,6 million tons of goods, volume of analogous traffic to that of the year precedence, of which 11,4 million tons of cargos enlivened in the port of Civitavecchia (11,4 million tons in 2017), 3,5 million tons in the port of Fiumicino (3,5 million in 2017) and 1,7 million tons in the port of Gaeta (1,9 million in 2017).

The Authority of Harbour System of the Centro Settentrionale Tyrrhenian Sea has announced that the total of the traffic enlivened in 2018 from the managed harbour system from the agency turns out constituted for 5,3 million tons from goods liquid and 11,3 million tons from goods sand banks. First tons are enlivened for 66% in the port of Fiumicino (3,5 million), for 24% in the port of Gaeta (1,3 million tons) and for remaining 10% in the port of Civitavecchia (0,5 million tons). From 2016 to 2018, in fact, the total traffic of goods in necks (goods in container, on heavy means, pallet and sacconi) has grown of beyond +17% (+964 thousand tons), pairs in 2018 almost 6,5 million total tons; with the exception of the solid bulk that, in the same temporal arc, is diminished of the -19% (- 1,1 million tons), bending that is determined substantially by an sensitive contraction of the traffic of destined coal to the electric power plant of Enel of Torre Valdaliga Nord as well as of the goods deriving from its working (ash chalk and limekilns). In particular, the coal traffic is passed by 4,750 million tons in 2016 to the 3,850 million one tons in 2018. Loss compensated from an important increase of the goods in necks that are gone up by 5,5 million tons in 2016 to the 6,5 million one tons in 2018 asserting definitively which main type of traffic. Such increase is determined by an increment in the three years of the goods in container (+58%; +360 thousand tons) that, in 2018, they have reached about a million tons for beyond 100 thousand teu and, in greater measure, by an increase of the goods transported on heavy means, are on line connections that commercial, that they pass from 4,8 million tons in 2016 to the 5,5 million one tons in 2018 (+15%; +700 thousand tons).
