The EU has approved of the project the RAIL of Italy, Spain and Portugal for railway integration with the logistics and customs



Al European project the RAIL (Interoperability of the rail system with TAF TSI in TRY Corridors), that it comprises Italy, Spain and Portugal and that it has as objective that to put into effect and to develop procedures to European level between the railway operators in order to contribute to a system of interoperabile and efficient exchange of information in terms of costs for Europe, that satisfies requirement of the directives on the interoperability and safety, is recognized the European co-financing by the DG Move in the within of transport call 2018 of the program Connecting Europe Facilities (CEF).

It has announced the Confetra, the Italian Confederation of the Transports and the Logistics, specifying that the project will go to support the railway enterprises, the managers of infrastructures and the stakeholder in the performance of norms TAF TSI in order to inside realize the interoperability and safety of the data of the railway system of the European Union and to extend this net to all the intermodal logistic system.

The project the RAIL previews in the period 1 January 2019 - 31 Decembers 2022 total costs almost 12,0 million euros and the EU commission have confirmed the demanded European co-financing that it is pairs to 4,8 million euros, 40% of the total.

Confetra has emphasized that the project the RAIL represents for the formed Italian compages, as well as from some companies of the railway cargo goods, from Agency of Customs, Confetra, Circle and Autorità di Harbour Sistema of the Ligurian Sea Oriental, an excellent opportunity of innovation and digitalisation of the railway, logistic and customs processes in coherence with an European picture that sees integration and the interoperability of the systems as fundamental paradigm for the development of a efficient and effective transport. In particular, for Italy the objective is the development of new digital interoperabili processes not only with railway data, but also inherent to information to logistic and customs valence to support of railway enterprises, railway terminals and Multimodal Transport Operator firstly.
